It's National Pecan Month!! Pecans add a delicious crunch to salads and make a perfect afternoon snack. But how about an easy Pecan Pie recipe!!
1 3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup dark corn syrup
1/4 cup butter
1 tablesppon cold water
2 teaspoons cornstarch
3 eggs
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup chopped pecans
1 (9in) unbaked pie shell
Step 1: Preheat Oven to 350 degrees F
Step 2: Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, water and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a full boil, remove from heat.
Step 3: In a large bowl, beat eggs until frothly. Gradually beat in cooked syrup mixture. Stir in salt, vanilla and peacans. Pour into pie shell.
Step 4: Bake in the preheated oven until filling is set, 45-50 mins.
Yes, it's that simple!!
